Location: Tataouine and Médenine, Tunisia
Organization responsible for the activity: TUNISIA ECOTOURISM
Partners: Local Democracy Agency ADL-Tunisia, National Union of Women
Tunisian woman in Tataouine (UNFT-Tataouine), Association Skills to Succeed, Tunisia Ecotourism
Project Objective: Promote the economic inclusion of residents of rural and urban areas,
urban migrants and poor host communities along the migration corridors surrounding
Kairouan, Médenine and Tataouine.
Positions to be filled
- Regional expert and logistics manager (Tataouine and Médenine)
Expected results
Result 1: Improved integration into the labor market of migrants, people
displaced people and host communities along the corridors of Kairouan, Médenine and Tataouine.
Goals :
- Develop training and employability opportunities for young people and women.
- Strengthen the capacities of local actors.
Key Targets:
- Marginalized women and youth (NEETS)
- Women and young people registered with ANETI but unemployed
- Employees in the hospitality and tourism sector requiring upskilling
- Companies in the post-creation phase requiring support
- Local trainers and advisors in the Tataouine and Médenine regions
- Public, private and associative employment support structures and UNFT training centers
Expected Outputs
Output 1.1.1: Awareness
- 1,500 people made aware of professional integration programs and systems (at
less than 50% women)
- 20% of sensitized people registered in a training session
- 150 local businesses made aware of continuing training opportunities
- 100 employees enrolled in continuing education programs
Output 1.1.2: Improvement of professional integration services
- Development or improvement of six training modules
- Capacity building for trainers from regional and local structures
- Training of 1,000 people based on the new training modules
Required profile
- Proven expertise in local development and professional integration
- Work experience in the regions of Tataouine and Médenine
- Project management and capacity building skills
- Experience in management of development projects and professional integration
- Skills in coordination and team management
- Knowledge of the needs and potential of the regions of Tataouine and Médenine
Main tasks
Coordination and contact with local authorities and associative stakeholders:
- Establish and maintain relationships with local authorities, civil society organizations
and other relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure good
coordination of project activities.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between the different project stakeholders.
Organization of company days:
- Plan and organize a company day to promote networking and collaboration
between local businesses and project beneficiaries.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, event management
registrations and communication with participants.
- Prepare informative materials and presentations for the company day.
Organization of a day of debate on employment opportunities in the two regions,
emerging sectors and new developments:
- Identify and invite experts, employers and government representatives to
participate in the day of debate.
- Prepare relevant discussion topics and moderate the debates.
- Ensure the active participation of young people and women from targeted regions.
Organization and coordination of thematic training in the two regions:
- Select and coordinate qualified trainers for the different themes.
- Supervise the implementation of trainer training and evaluate their effectiveness.
Organization and coordination of awareness-raising actions for young people in both regions about
employment mechanisms
- Plan and organize awareness sessions to inform young people about
employment mechanisms and support programs available.
- Collaborate with training centers and employment support structures to ensure
extensive coverage of awareness-raising actions.
- Evaluate the impact of awareness-raising actions and adjust strategies based on the results
obtained.

- Planning of awareness actions.
- List of participants and evaluation of the impact of awareness-raising actions.
6- Interim evaluation report
- Progress of the project in relation to the initial objectives.
- Difficulties encountered and solutions proposed.
- Recommendations for the continuation of the project.
7- Final project report
- Summary of activities carried out and results obtained.
- Final evaluation of the impact of the project on the beneficiaries.
- Lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
8- Beneficiary database
- List of people made aware, trained, and companies involved.
- Demographic and professional information of beneficiaries.
9- Documentation of partnerships and collaborations
- Partnership agreements signed.
- Reports of activities carried out in collaboration with partners.
