Call for Applications for the Selection of Trainers in the VISA Project – Activities 1.1 and 1.1.2a

 

Within the framework of the VISA Project aimed at improving the integration of migrants, displaced persons and host communities in the labour market, we are launching a call for applications for the selection of qualified trainers. The specific activities covered by this call include improving access and strengthening the quality of professional integration support services, as well as developing and improving training modules.

 

Project Objectives:

 

Improve the integration of migrants, displaced persons and host communities in the labour market through financial and technical assistance.

Develop and improve training modules for public and associative structures supporting professional integration.

Activities concerned:

 

Activity 1.1: Improve access and strengthen the quality of services of public and associative structures supporting the professional integration of job seekers.

Sub-activity 1.1.2a: Develop or improve at least six training modules and train trainers.

Profile of Trainers sought:

Area of ​​intervention

– Renewable energy

– Traditional construction techniques and eco-construction

– Sustainable tourism and eco-tourism

– Crafts and promotion of local products

– Water resource management and sustainable agriculture

– Fundraising

 

Proven experience in professional training and/or the development of training modules.

Teaching skills and ability to lead training sessions.

Knowledge of professional integration programs and mechanisms.

Ability to work with diverse audiences, including migrants and displaced persons.

INTRODUCTION

As part of the 2nd phase of the global program “Cities and Migrations” and following a call for projects, a consortium led by the National Union of Tunisian Women of Kairouan is piloting the project “Inclusive Cities – Local Services and Decent Jobs for All” / VISA

The overall objective of the project is to improve the attractiveness of municipalities in the interior of the country by improving access to employment opportunities and integrating migrant workers into the labor market and the population from rural areas and settled on the outskirts of cities, as well as making administrative municipal services more accessible, efficient, transparent and close to citizens who live far from the urban center of the municipalities.

 

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The project follows an integrated territorial development approach focused on a more equitable distribution of employment opportunities and municipal services, and this in a gender-sensitive manner.

To achieve this, the project will capitalize on the development levers in the targeted corridors, Kairouan and Tataouine-Medenine, for better management of local migrations by enhancing regional wealth and potential.

The project is based on the following objectives:

  • Objective 1: Stakeholders in secondary cities use the financial and technical assistance provided to improve the integration of internal migrants and host communities into the labor market.
  • Objective 2: Stakeholders in secondary cities use the financial and technical assistance provided to improve the provision of gender-sensitive, climate-resilient and sustainable basic services for internal migrants and host communities.
  • Objective 3: Stakeholders in secondary cities use the financial and technical assistance provided to address persistent gender inequalities with context-specific responses by including a local organization with a gender equality mandate for the design, implementation and evaluation of the project

Project “Inclusive Cities – Accessible and Proximity Services and Decent Jobs for All (VISA)”

Location: Tataouine and Medenine, Tunisia

 

Organization Responsible for the Activity: TUNISIA ECOTOURISM

Partners: Local Democracy Agency ADL-Tunisia, National Union of Tunisian Women in Tataouine (UNFT-Tataouine), Skills to Succeed Association, Tunisia Ecotourism

Project Objective: Promote the economic inclusion of rural and urban dwellers, urban migrants and poor host communities along the migration corridors surrounding Kairouan, Medenine and Tataouine.

 

Expected Outputs

Output 1.1.1: Awareness

  • 1,500 people made aware of professional integration programs and systems (at least 50% women)
  • 20% of people made aware registered in a training session
  • 150 local companies made aware of continuing training opportunities
  • 100 employees registered in continuing training programs

Output 1.1.2: Improvement of professional integration services

  • Development or improvement of six training modules
  • Capacity building of trainers from regional and local structures
  • Training of 1,000 people based on the new training modules

Job Title: VISA Project Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced VISA Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, in-depth knowledge of visa processes, and be able to effectively manage teams and resources to ensure the success of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate VISA project activities.
  • Manage project teams and ensure effective communication between team members.
  • Oversee the implementation of Visa project processes and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in project management, business administration or related field.
  • Significant experience in project management, preferably in the field of inclusion and employability.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Organization of Enterprise Days:

  • Plan and organize an Enterprise Day to foster networking and collaboration between local businesses and project beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, registration management and communication with participants.
  • Prepare information materials and presentations for the Enterprise Day.

Organization of a day of debate on employment opportunities in the two regions, emerging sectors and new developments:

  • Identify and invite experts, employers and government representatives to participate in the day of debate.
  • Prepare relevant discussion topics and moderate the debates.
  • Ensure the active participation of young people and women from the targeted regions.

Organization and coordination of thematic trainings in the two regions:

  • Select and coordinate qualified trainers for the different themes.
  • Supervise the implementation of the training of trainers and evaluate their effectiveness.

Organization and coordination of awareness-raising actions for young people in the two regions on employment mechanisms:

  • Plan and organize awareness-raising sessions to inform young people about employment mechanisms and available support programs.
  • Collaborate with training centers and employment support structures to ensure extensive coverage of awareness-raising actions.
  • Evaluate the impact of awareness-raising actions and adjust strategies based on the results obtained.
